International Women's Day

International Women's Day (IWD) is held on 8 March each year.

It celebrates women's achievements, raises awareness for women's equality, and marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity and positive change for women and girls everywhere.

Count Her In. Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress

The 2024 theme encourages us all to examine the progress that has been made and the barriers that remain to achieving equal participation in the economy.

For women and girls everywhere, access to education, employment pathways, financial services and literacy are essential to building their capacity to learn, earn and lead.

By acknowledging progress and examining the significant obstacles that remain, we can work to achieve equal participation in the economy.
