About the museum
The museum collection is housed in a former Bank of New South Wales branch built in 1856. There are changing exhibitions in the original banking chamber, and upstairs the bank manager’s residence is preserved in time.
Collection items include a range of horse carriages, farming equipment and rare objects from yesteryear.
Outdoor exhibits include original bluestone stables, servant's kitchen, laundry and Theaden Cottage. The museum is also home to a wide variety of carriages and historical agricultural equipment.
Due to the nature of the historic site, accessibility within the venue is limited with some stairs and uneven surfaces.
