Daily exercise promotes good health and helps to prevent chronic disease such as diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke and certain types of cancer.

Outlined below is a range of exercise and fitness programs that are suitable for people with disabilities and older people in the Macedon Ranges.

Aqua Aerobics

Aquatic centres in Gisborne and Kyneton hold regular aqua aerobic classes to suit all levels.


AustCycle is a six week program perfect for adults who want to gain the confidence to learn to ride or get back on a bike and bike riding is a great low impact way to get some exercise.

Back in the Game

Back in the Game is a free series of modified physical activity sessions for seniors in Romsey and Woodend.

Warm Water Exercise

Warm Water Exercise increases flexibility, fitness, muscular strength and can relieve muscular tension and pain.

Strength for Health

If you are looking to get back into exercise, develop strength, improve your balance and maintain your weight then come and try a Strength for Health class.

Classes are held in Kyneton.
