Request your rates or valuation history
In some instances—usually for tax purposes in relation to Capital Gains Tax—you may need to provide the Tax office with a history of rates payments or valuations for your property.
Request a copy of your rates notice
We encourage our ratepayers to register or log in to our online portal for eNotices. This free service provides property owners and registered ratepayers convenient access to current and previous notices.
If you prefer, a copy of your current rates notice (within the current rating period) can be provided upon request; however, a service fee of $7 applies and can be paid by contacting our Customer Service Team on (03) 5422 0333.
Once the fee has been paid, email our Rates Department at mrsc@mrsc.vic.gov.au with the following details
- The full property address the notice relates to
- The specific rates notice instalment you are requesting (First, Second, Third or Fourth)
- Assessment Number (in known)
- Your full name
- A copy of the payment receipt
Please note: copies can only be issued to the registered owner, nominated ratepayer, or an authorised property manager.
