Seniors Festival 2025!

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a major state-wide festival for and involving seniors.

The festival runs from 1–31 October every year, with free and low-cost events right across Victoria. The 2025 theme was Connect. Create. Celebrate.

Here in the Macedon Ranges we honoured the valuable contributions of our senior community members through a series of memorable events:

A Bendigo day trip with the historic Vintage Talking Tram and a guided tour of the Bendigo Art Gallery
The Castlemaine Concert – The Swinging 60’s with Wendy Stapleton
A Dromkeen High Tea featuring live entertainment by Jarrod Shaw
Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Tour and Australian Sports Museum experience
The Leisure team ran a series of activities during Staying Strong classes over the month including healthy eating, gardening, sport-themed games, and a bingo competition.

Across these events, Council proudly supported and celebrated over 150 seniors, providing opportunities to connect, learn, and share experiences throughout the month.
