The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire is in force until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

As part of footpath renewal works, the existing asphalt footpath will be replaced with a new 1.5 metre wide concrete footpath on the east side of Main Street, between Barry Street and McIntosh Terrace.
The works will also include minor drainage improvements and kerb and channel works at the intersection.
The project has been awarded, works commenced in late February 2026 and are expected to be completed by mid-March 2026.
