A new footpath has been proposed for construction on Hyperno Court, New Gisborne. This project will complete a missing link between the existing path within Zeal Street Reserve and Hyperno Court, delivering a 1.5-metre-wide concrete footpath to improve local connectivity.
Once completed, the new path will provide a continuous pedestrian route from Hyperno Court through Zeal Street Reserve to local streets and Gisborne Station, enhancing access for residents and school children to nearby amenities including the primary school, recreation reserves, bus stops, and the train station.
These works are being delivered as part of Council’s 2025-26 Capital works program.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-January 2026, with completion expected by the end of the month.
