Easter 2026 Long Weekend

There will be changes to some of our services and facility opening hours over the Easter long weekend (Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April 2026).

You can call (03) 5422 0333 (available 24/7) during this time to report urgent issues.

Bin collections

There are no changes to bin collection days. Please put your bins out as usual.

Council customer service centres (Gisborne, Kyneton and Romsey)

Closed on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April.

All offices will reopen on Tuesday 7 April at the following times:

  • Gisborne: 8:30am
  • Kyneton: 8:30am
  • Romsey: 9:30am

Resource recovery facilities
  • Friday 3 April: Kyneton, Romsey and Woodend will be closed.
  • Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April: all locations open 10am to 4pm.
  • Monday 6 April: Woodend will be open 10am – 4pm. Kyneton and Romsey facilities will be closed.

Libraries

Gisborne, Woodend, Romsey and Kyneton libraries will be closed from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April, reopening as usual on Tuesday 7 April.

Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre
  • Friday 3 April: closed
  • Saturday 4 April: 1pm to 6pm
  • Sunday 5 April: 12pm to 5pm
  • Monday 6 April: 12pm to 5pm

Fitness centre and stadium: available to members with fob access.

Gisborne Aquatic Centre
  • Friday 3 April: closed
  • Saturday 4 April: 1pm to 6pm
  • Sunday 5 April: 12pm to 5pm
  • Monday 6 April: 12pm to 5pm

Gisborne Fitness Centre

Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April: open for members with fob access only.

Group Fitness classes will not operate.

Normal staffed hours and classes resume Tuesday 7 April.

Maternal and Child Health centres

Closed Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April.

Kindergartens

Closed Friday 3 April until 17 April for school holidays.

Sports Stadiums

The below facilities will be unstaffed from Friday 3 April to Friday 17 April and will reopen as normal from Monday 20 April.
