From over 250 competition entries were shortlisted by a panel of staff from the Resource Recovery team with 15 final winners judged by a panel of Councillors.
The 15 winners won a 'waste warrior starter kit' as well as having their artwork featured on a Council waste collection truck. Each entrant may have their artwork used in ongoing waste education campaigns and winners will be invited to a photo opportunity.
See the winners artwork in the image gallery below.
The new artwork will appear on the new fleet of bin collection trucks.
There have been significant delays in some of the decals being installed on some of the trucks, we will contact the schools of the winners once the artwork installations have been completed.
The early learning centre or school from which the winners are from, were also offered a prize of a delivery of organic compost for their gardens.
