Spotlighting: Wildlife watch at Barringo Reserve
Next date: Wednesday, 22 April 2026 | 06:30 PM
to 08:00 PM
Join Council’s environment team for an evening spotlight walk and biodiversity survey.
Spotlighting is a vital monitoring tool that helps track native species and understand the health of our bushland corridors.
While out on our walk, we may spot nesting birds, possums or the elusive Brush-tailed Phascogale, or hear the calls of microbats or owls flying overhead.
Come along, contribute to real conservation work, and experience the magic of the bush at night.
What to bring
- Bring your own torch and/or binoculars; we will also have some available to use.
- Bring snacks and water as there is nowhere to purchase these at the reserve.
- Wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.
- This event is weather-dependent. You will be contacted by email or phone if the event is cancelled due to dangerous weather.
- Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.
