Macedon Ranges Village Hub

Council has been awarded $330,000 over three years by the Australian Government’s Seniors Connected Program to fund the implementation of a Village Hub in the Macedon Ranges. Macedon Ranges Shire Council is one of 10 successful applicants across Australia to receive this grant.

The Macedon Ranges Village Hub project will focus on bringing older people together online and in their community for activities that support good mental and physical health and enable better connections to the local community.

The project will run from 2021 to 2024.  During this time, a range of initiatives will be implemented to alleviate loneliness and social isolation experienced by older people in the Macedon Ranges community.

The views of older residents will be integral to the design of the project and decisions about activities and programs to be offered.
