Local libraries run programs for children that include rhyme time, storytime and school holiday programs. Find a library near you to discover what’s on.
Playgroups offer opportunities for babies and pre-schoolers to socialise and develop new skills while their parents/guardians have opportunities to build friendships with other families within the community. Smalltalk is a free supported playgroup for parents, carers and children. It’s a friendly, relaxed and inclusive playgroup that runs each week during school terms. Smalltalk is run by a trained facilitator.
At each session:
- Parents and carers have fun with their child or children
- Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and learn together
- Ideas are shared to support children’s learning and development.
Sessions are held at the following venues:
Woodend Playgroup - 45 Forest Street, Woodend. Wednesday 9am – 11am
Romsey Community Hub - 96-100 Main Road, Romsey. Thursday 11am–1pm

Toy Libraries are a non-profit organisation run by volunteer members, providing a cost-effective way for parents to access fun and educational toys and play material. Toys available for loan cater for children from birth to eight years. Visit Toy Libraries Australia for more information.
