Volunteer at a Visitor Information Centre

Visitor Information Centre Volunteers

We currently have over 35 volunteers registered between our two Visitor Information Centres in Kyneton and Woodend. Volunteers are a valued part of our tourism team.

The volunteer role includes responding to visitor enquiries face to face and over the telephone, providing detailed information about the region and surrounds. The minimum time commitment is two shifts per month, 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm.

Extensive training is provided to all of our volunteers to assist them in their role which includes providing excellent customer service and local product knowledge to visitors.

During the year volunteers are invited to attend events and training workshops including information sessions, meetings and Local Learning Tours. These are an opportunity to connect and meet with other volunteers, tourism operators and staff.
