Youth Mental Health

We are committed to supporting young people and their mental health via youth mental health training opportunities and advocacy.

Our Youth Mental Health Position Statement(PDF, 444KB), which was drafted with input from the community and endorsed by Council in 2019, outlines Council's commitment to strive for good youth mental health, which will enhance the quality of life for all young people in the Macedon Ranges.

You can learn how to help young people experiencing mental health problems by participating in one of Council’s award-winning Youth Mental Health First Aid courses. More information is provided below.

The course covers various mental health problems experienced by young people and is delivered using case studies, films and group discussions.

A course manual and refreshments are included.
