Kyneton Town Hall - venue hire information

The Kyneton Town Hall is the premier performance space in the Macedon Ranges, with a capacity of 420 in a theatre seating arrangement.

  • The Town Hall is suited to events with over 200 people
  • To ensure timely event planning and support a high quality experience, booking requests with less than 21 days notice will only be accepted under exceptional circumstances.
  • Please note that opportunities for private functions at Kyneton Town Hall are limited. Priority will be given to public events that align with Council's programming guidelines.
  • All ticketing is managed through our box office.
  • A bar facility can be arranged where appropriate under our Limited Liquor License.

Venue hire fees

Performance rate

  • Venue hire first five hours. Includes set-up of furniture, basic technical set-up, 2 x technical staff and 3 x front of house staff: $2,150
  • Additional hours: $130 per hour

Hourly rate (not for profit / community only)

  • Hourly rehearsal, large groups (above 50 occupants, or outside of office hours): $157 per hour
  • Hourly rehearsal, small groups (less than 50 occupants, minimum four hours, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-5pm): $121 per hour.

  • Richardson Room, Not For Profit: $94
  • Kitchen, Not For Profit: $181
  • Kitchen, commercial: $410
  • Back stage dressing rooms hire, Not For Profit: $44.30

  • Seating Bank Configuration Change: $650

  • Piano hire and tune: $375

Council's public liability

Council public liability (available for NFP groups and individuals only): $20

Ticketing fees and charges

  • Ticketing / booking fee: $2.70 per ticket sold (Commercial Rate)
  • Ticketing / booking fee: $2 per ticket sold (Not for Profit / Community Rate)
  • Ticketing / booking fee: $1 per complimentary ticket (max 10)
  • Administration fee: 3.5% of gross total ticket sales
  • Postage fee (optional): $3 per transaction

All fees include GST.
