Join us for a hands-on Pickling and Fermenting workshop presented by Open Table featuring simple, practical ways to reduce food waste.

This interactive session will explore easy, accessible cooking techniques that help transform surplus vegetables into delicious, long-lasting preserves.

The workshop will feature sauerkraut taste testing and a make-your-own jar of pickles. The facilitator will also share practical tips for creatively using odds and ends from the garden, helping you stretch your harvest further and reduce waste.

Whether you’re dealing with an overflow of zucchinis, cabbage, or mixed summer vegetables, this session will equip you with simple tools to preserve your harvest, boost flavour, and support more sustainable food practices.

This workshop is brought to you by Omnia Community Health, as part of the Macedon Ranges Changemakers shire‑wide climate and sustainability festival.
