The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire started at 1am on Monday 17 November until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

As 2025 comes to a close, Macedon Ranges Shire Council's Councillors will be attending some of the region's stellar local markets to meet and chat with residents about what matters most to them.
At each listening post, a range of Councillors from across all wards will be present and will be available to discuss a range of Council matters, including the current Budget 2026-27 consultation.
Keep an eye out for our Councillors at the buzzing Lancefield and District Farmers' Market along the town's main street on Saturday 22 November, from 9:30-11am.
