Gisborne, Robertson Street - Gisborne Botanic Gardens - Footbridge

The refurbishment of the footbridge in Jacksons Creek Reserve near the Adventure Playground (next to the Botanic Gardens on Robertson Street) was completed on 29 April 2026.

The timber decking and safety mesh had become unsafe and may have created trip hazards.

As part of the works, the existing decking and mesh was removed and replaced with a safer walking surface. Works also included minor repairs to improve safety and access, including upgrades to bridge approaches and connecting paths.

We would like to thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience as works were being completed.
