Woodend, Old Lancefield Road - Road Reconstruction

A section of Old Lancefield Road is being upgraded from Manifold Road to Savages Lane in Woodend.  

The project includes:

  • full road reconstruction between Manifold Road and Savages Road
  • concrete kerb and channel, and underground drainage
  • completion of missing footpath link (west side of Old Lancefield Road and north side of Romsey Road), between Manifold Road and High Street via Romsey Road   
  • improved roadside signage as required.

These works are funded under the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program. 

Works commenced in June and are expected to be completed by September, weather permitting.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area. There will be intermittent road closures in late August and early September to facilitate construction works.
