Kyneton - Pipers Creek Road and Batters Lane Intersection Upgrade

Council is committed to improving road safety at the Pipers Creek Road and Batters Lane intersection, which has experienced a history of crashes due to high westbound traffic, and limited visibility. To address these concerns, we are implementing several key upgrades aimed at enhancing driver awareness and reducing accidents.

The proposed safety improvements will include:

  • installation of an electronic flashing ‘Give Way Ahead’ Sign
  • installation of a traffic island
  • clearer lane lines and reflective markers to guide traffic and alert drivers of upcoming road intersection
  • delineation enhancements
  • vegetation trimming
  • improved street lighting.

These upgrades aim to create a safer intersection by increasing driver awareness, improving visibility, and guiding traffic more effectively. During the implementation period, minimal disruptions may occur, and we appreciate your patience as we work towards a safer road environment.

The tender has been awarded to a contractor. Further updates regarding commencement date will be provided when contractor seeks to commence onsite.

The project is to achieve practical completion by 30 June 2025.

The project is funded by 2024/2025 Australian Government Black Spot Program.
