Federal Election 2025

The 2025 Federal Election has been called for Saturday 3 May 2025. It is facilitated by the Australian Electoral Commission.

There are two Federal electorates within the Macedon Ranges, being (click the links for more information, including a detailed electorate map):

  • Bendigo: including selected western/northern Macedon Ranges localities such as Malmsbury, Kyneton, Carlsruhe, Tylden and Baynton
  • McEwen: including most other Macedon Ranges localities such as Woodend, Macedon, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey and Lancefield

Council will continue to actively advocate to all parties for funding priorities identified for our shire, outlined in this Federal Election Priorities 2025 document(PDF, 2MB).

Any funding commitments will be shared below in a table, and through individual news items relevant to Council's involvement:
