Your Voice Matters: Share Feedback on Key Council Projects

Last updated on 16 October 2025

Council is calling on residents to have their say on three consultations now open on the Macedon Ranges’ Your Say website. This is your chance to directly influence decisions that affect everyday life across the Shire - from the parks we enjoy, to housing options, and vital health services.

Council is reviewing its immunisation program to ensure it remains accessible for all residents. Community feedback will help shape how the service is delivered and promoted in the years ahead, making sure it meets the needs of families and individuals across the region.

The Affordable Housing Policy and Strategy consultation invites residents, local organisations, and service providers to share ideas on how Council can best support a variety of housing options and respond to affordability challenges. Your input will help guide initiatives that make housing more achievable for local households.

The draft Open Space Strategy outlines a 10-year plan for the management and enhancement of the shire’s parks, reserves, recreation grounds, and natural spaces. Council is seeking final feedback to ensure the strategy reflects community priorities, balances recreation and conservation, and helps shape our shared outdoor spaces for generations to come.

Residents are invited to join workshops for the Open Space Strategy to learn more and provide input: online via zoom on Thursday 30 October from 6pm to 7.30pm, or in person on Saturday 1 November at Romsey Community Hub from 10am-11.30am. Registration is required to attend either event at yoursay.mrsc.vic.gov.au/OSS

Mayor Dom Bonanno said hearing from residents is essential for Council to make decisions that truly reflect community needs.

“These consultations are a fantastic opportunity for everyone to have their say on the things that matter most - from the spaces where we play and relax, to the homes we live in, and the health services that keep our community strong,” the mayor said.

“Every voice counts, and your feedback helps Council make decisions that reflect our community’s priorities. I encourage everyone to visit Your Say Macedon Ranges and share your views – it only takes a few minutes, but it can make a lasting difference.”

Residents can find out more and provide feedback by visiting yoursay.mrsc.vic.gov.au. All three consultations are open until early November.
