Our resource recovery facilities accept a variety of green waste all year round.
Fees apply to residents, non-residents and commercial operators.
Free green waste disposal weeks
You can dispose of eligible green waste during our free green waste disposal weeks.
- Spring: 26 October 2026 to 8 November 2026
- Summer: 22 February 2027 to 7 March 2027
- Autumn: 24 May 2027 to 6 June 2027
Proof of residency is required (for example, a driver's licence, utility bill or rates notice).
Accepted items
Green waste we accept:
- leaf litter, lawn clippings and prunings that can be turned into mulch.
Loads must be free of weeds, wire, food scraps and other rubbish.
General waste fees apply for the following garden organics:
- Weeds
- Large branches with a diameter greater than 250mm
- Agapanthus
