Make Your Own Sausage Dog Workshop (afternoon) - School Holidays at

Next date: Wednesday, 09 July 2025 | 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM

What's it all about?

Children in Prep to Grade 4 are invited to join us for a tail-wagging good time these school holidays as we get crafty with everyone's favourite little dog – the sausage dog! In this fun and imaginative workshop, kids will design and make their own dachshund-inspired creations using paper, card, paints, and a whole lot of creativity.

From floppy ears to waggy tails, each sausage dog will be full of personality – no two pups are the same! Whether your dog is spotty, stripy, rainbow-coloured or wears a bow tie, it's all up to your imagination.

Perfect for kids who love art, animals, and a bit of silliness. Come along and create your very own sausage dog to take home and show off!

Who will be leading the session?

Local artist/educator Penelope Cato is eager to share her experience and knowledge with budding young artists. Penelope has an abiding interest in nature, particularly plant life and a love for patterning and Japanese design.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Penelope has a background in design across disciplines and creates imaginative works with aesthetic appeal and subtle layers of meaning.

Her experience directing, inspiring and engaging primary students together with her passion for art make her an asset to our junior artistic community.
