Heart Songs—community choir project

Drawing on the success of the Urban Sea Shanties Community Choir project in 2022, which sustained a choir of around 50, and a full house at Kyneton Town Hall for the finale concert, choir master Andrew Price is back, this time with local folk singer, Lucy Wise.

Join the Heart Songs Community Choir Project. Under guidance from Woodend local and choral leader Andrew Price and local Malmsbury singer/songwriter Lucy Wise, participants will learn a repertoire of songs over a four-month period culminating in a performance at Kyneton Town Hall.

Participants will learn a varied collection of Lucy’s songs, and a few covers, arranged by Andrew Price to be both accessible and challenging for singers at a community choir level. Participation is open to people aged 12+.

We hope to raise awareness of community choirs whilst promoting the health and wellbeing benefits derived from being involved in a community project and singing in a choir.

Look out for the final performance on 22 June. Tickets on sale soon!
