Riddells Creek Movement Network Study

In April/May 2022, Council sought feedback from the community to help shape the development of the Riddells Creek Movement Network Study.

The study will address transport and infrastructure development and population growth in Riddells Creek now and into the future.

It will take place in two stages over three years:

  • Stage one (2021/22) focused on identifying current transport concerns as raised by the community and has included two avenues for community consultation, one face-to-face workshop held on 5 April 2022 at the community centre, and an online community survey between 1 April and 1 May 2022. The stage one report was presented to Council at the 24 August 2022 Scheduled Council Meeting.
  • Stage two is being delivered over two financial years (2022/23 and 2023/24).
    • Stage 2A (2022/23) focuses on identifying current transport infrastructure gaps using the stage 1 community feedback and developing a draft strategic transport infrastructure plan which includes the township's ultimate transport network.
    • Stage 2B (2023/24) included detailed traffic and parking studies, traffic analysis and further investigations to refine the draft infrastructure plan. As an outcome, an implementation plan has been developed.
Communication consultation was undertaken from 4 to 31 March. The community submissions are currently being analysed and Councilors will be briefed in the coming months of this outcome.
