Amendment C114: Macedon Urban Design Guidelines

Amendment C114 was approved by the Minister for Planning and gazetted on 21 December 2017. The amendment implements the Macedon Urban Design Guidelines by introducing a new planning control (Design and Development Overlay) for the Commercial 1 Zone in Macedon village centre. The amendment also updates the local planning policy for Macedon at Clause 21.13-6 of the Macedon Ranges Planning Scheme and includes the Guidelines as a reference document.

The amendment seeks to strike a balance between facilitating appropriate commercial activity in the village centre and introducing design and development controls that protect environmental values and the village character that is valued by the local community.
