New Gisborne, Hyperno Court - Footpath Works
A new footpath has been constructed on Hyperno Court, New Gisborne. This project completed a missing link between the old path within Zeal Street Reserve and Hyperno Court, delivering a 1.5-metre-wide concrete footpath to improve local connectivity.
The new path will provide a continuous pedestrian route from Hyperno Court through Zeal Street Reserve to local streets and Gisborne Station, enhancing access for residents and school children to nearby amenities including the primary school, recreation reserves, bus stops, and the train station.
These works were delivered as part of Council’s 2025-26 Capital works program.
Construction began in mid-January 2026, and is now complete and open to the public.
