Various - Intersection Upgrade Works

Each financial year, Council identifies and upgrades problem intersections and court bowls (end section of a court), aiming to improve safety for road users while also reducing ongoing maintenance due to turning movements.

These locations are prioritised based on inspections and condition assessments.

The following intersections and court bowls are planned to be upgraded in 2024-25: 

• Intersection - Urquhart Street and Wood Street, Woodend
• Intersection - Brooke Street and Wood Street, Woodend 
• Intersection - Melvins Road and Whittakers Lane, Riddells Creek
• Intersection - James Road and Cobb & Co Road, Cadello
• Intersection - Saleyards Road and Saleyards Road service road, Kyneton 
• Intersection - Kyneton-Metcalfe Road and Redesdale Road, Kyneton 
• Intersection - Fleming Street and Daylesford Road, Malmsbury
• Intersection - Fleming Street and Mollison Street, Malmsbury
• Intersection - Lauriston Street and Mitchell Street, Malmsbury 
• Intersection - Lauriston Street and Harvey Street, Malmsbury 
• Intersection - Keegan Road and Donnelly Road, Malmsbury
• Court Bowl - Hastings Drive, New Gisborne
• Court Bowl - Valley View Court, Romsey

Works are expected to start in late May 2025 and be completed by mid-June 2025, weather permitting.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
