Acquisition of Land – 51 Coop Drive, Gisborne

Council has an opportunity to purchase open space, known as part of 51 Coop Drive, Gisborne (previously part of 75 Willowbank Road) for the expansion of Gisborne Fields Park.

The land is located within Certificate of Title Volume 12472 Folio 931 comprising part of Lot 2 on PS 909387F. The land is proposed to be used for additional public open space and will be purchased from the landholder at current market value.

Under the Macedon Ranges Planning Scheme, developers must provide a mandatory five per cent open space contribution. However, in this situation an additional four per cent was required to enable a total reserve area of 5,439 square metres. Council is therefore seeking to acquire this additional four per cent or 2,464 square metres.
