Animal impound fees

Overview

If an animal is handed in to Council, collected by a ranger or transported to the livestock pound, the owner is liable for impound, transport, microchipping and registration fees where applicable.

Impound fees for cats and dogs

Cats and dogs must be microchipped in order to be released back to the owner. If not, Council will arrange microchipping and registration before release.  Pound fees must also be paid before animals are released.
