Woodend, Brooke Street - road works

Road and safety improvement works have been completed on a section of Brooke Street, from Templeton Street to Wood Street in Woodend.

The project includes a raised safety platform at the intersection of Brooke Street and Templeton Street, and a raised central island at the crest of Brooke Street, east of Templeton Street, to slow down the traffic.

The improvements provide a safe link, especially for children attending St Ambrose Primary School from the south of the intersection, and for the local community visiting nearby facilities.

The project commenced in mid August 2023 and was completed ahead of schedule in early November 2023.

These works are funded as part of Council’s 2023/24 Capital Works Program.
