Romsey, Murphy Street - Road Reconstruction

Upgrades on Murphy Street, Romsey are planned from the Main Street intersection to the Pohlman Street intersection, Romsey. 

The project includes the following:

  • approximately 140 metres of road pavement reconstruction
  • construction of a 1.5 metre wide concrete footpath connection and pram crossing along north side of Murphy Street 
  • new kerb, channel and drainage improvements.

These works are funded by Federal Government and are carried out under the 2023/24 Capital Works Program.

The works are currently being procured and are expected to commence on Tuesday 19 March 2024 and, weather permitting, will be finished by the end of May 2024.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
