Riddells Creek, Hamilton and Fitzgerald Streets - Road Reconstruction

Council has completed road upgrades at Hamilton Street and Fitzgerald Street in Riddells Creek, providing a better experience for drivers and pedestrians accessing Riddells Creek Station.

The works, which were delivered in close collaboration with train station car parking upgrades delivered by VicTrack and sewer upgrade works delivered by Greater Western Water, included:

• full pavement reconstruction from Stephen Street to Sutherlands Road
• a new 2m-wide concrete footpath from Stephen Street to Sutherlands Road, on the south side of Hamilton Street and east side of Fitzgerald Street
• ·new kerb and channel and drainage improvements.

These works were carried over from the 2022/23 Budget and were funded through Phase 3 of the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, with Council also receiving contributions from VicTrack and Great Western Water for the project.
