Kyneton Botanical Gardens, Entrance Works - Footpath Renewal

A recent footpath condition survey identified the concrete footpaths on Clowes Street and Mollison Street, at the entrance to the Kyneton Botanic Gardens, as being in very poor condition. 

The project will include: 

• Renewal of concrete footpath in front of the gardens to suitable exposed aggregate concrete path.
• Reconstruction of pedestrian footpaths on Clowes and Mollison streets to improve grading and create a safer entrance. 
• Installation of a new drainage culvert beneath the pavement to direct runoff to the existing bluestone channel on Mollison Street. 

This project is being delivered as part of Council’s Footpath and Kerb and Channel Renewal Program. Works have been tendered and are scheduled to commence mid-October 2025.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
