Grant skills, workshops and resources
Council is pleased to be able to offer some resources to help community members be more successful in their grant seeking.
Local community groups and event organisers are encouraged to start developing their project ideas well in advance of grant deadlines.
Check out our online resources below, including project plan and budget templates to guide your grant application efforts.
A series of training videos developed with Woodend-based group Non Profit Training are also a handy tool if you are considering applying for future funding.
Further advice is also available from the Community Development team on (03) 5422 0333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you need help to reimagine how best to run your event in a COVID normal world, view our three-part masterclass on COVIDSafe event planning. These webinar presentations will guide you on how to develop a plan that focuses on safety, prevention and response to manage public health risks.
Council's COVID Safety Officer can also provide venue-specific advice reflecting the latest government advice and COVID-19 requirements.

All workshops are designed for volunteers with limited or no experience in writing grants. Council officers are on hand to answer any questions to explain the annual grants guidelines, criteria and online grants application forms.
