YEP! - Youth Engage Program

Overview

Youth Engage Program (YEP!) and its programs aim to encourage young people aged 12-18 years to connect with each other, youth services and the greater community through weekly youth spaces programs, events, activities, mentoring and work place training across the Macedon Ranges Shire. YEP! also encourages young people to be involved in shaping the annual program and events by being a part of the YEP! ideas committee.

YEP! activities include:  

  • Movie and game nights

  • Excursions and workshops (Parkour, dance, DJ-ing, photography, cooking and much more)

  • Workplace training (Barista, RSA, resume writing and more).Youth Spaces (meet weekly during School Term)

  • Tuesdays: Kyneton Youth Space, 4pm-6pm in the Youth Development Unit, Hutton Street, Kyneton. Open to all young people 12-18 years.

YEP! is a gold coin donation, includes snacks.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) specialised YEP! program

Young people aged 11-16 years diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) now have the opportunity to participate in a Youth Space program provided by Council in partnership with Cobaw Community Health.

Registration required.

Events & Activities

YEP LGBTIQ+ & Allies Youth Space

When: Fridays, 4pm-6pm.

Where: Kyneton Youth Space in the Youth Development Unit, Hutton Street Kyneton

This youth space is for same sex attracted, sex and gender diverse young people aged 12-21 and their allies.

Come along to have some fun and help shape the future direction of the group.
