The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire started at 1am on Monday 17 November until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

Situated north of Robertson Street, the gardens are accessible to pedestrian via bridges crossing Jacksons Creek from both the west and east.
The nearby parklands include the Gisborne Adventure Playground, which offers picnic areas for visitors to enjoy.
Public toilets are also available at the Playground and are the closest facilities to the Botanic Gardens.
Parking is available at the playground entrance at the end of Brantome Street or next to the Council offices at 40 Robertson Street.
In 2017, Council completed a five-year master plan for the Gisborne Botanic Gardens, aimed at increasing visitor numbers and enhancing the diverse plant collection and supporting infrastructure.
Dogs on leashes are welcome.

Dogs must be on leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area. You must pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste in a bin. Dogs must be under effective control and never left unattended.
