WHALEBONE

Can we save our stories when robots arrive?

WHALEBONE speaks about the importance and future of our stories in a new era where Artificial Intelligence starts to substitute human decisions.

It is a visual family show that inquires our dealing with memories in a world where we are flooded by digital data.

With the magical premise of a space where all human stories are safe guarded, the audiences are taken on a journey full of surprises and magical stage wonders, where stories fly through the air (for real!) and old telephones transform into desert- shower appliances (also for real!). A place full of spectacular and interactive video animations, tinkered machines, digital gadgets and holograms.

Show duration 60 minutes no interval. Recommended age 6 to 14 years, families.

There are school holiday workshops too—check out The Wacky Lolly Shooting Machine.

Reviews

WHALEBONE’ follows an important narrative around storytelling and the importance of history. This is done cleverly and with care for the audience. We loved presented and sharing the show with our audience. It’s an absolute treat. Heidi Irving, Frankston Arts Centre, Opening season presenter.

An imagination buzz from start to finish. This is a perfect show for everyone, no matter what age, to be introduced to wonder and imagination through theatre. Janice Haynes, Forge Theatre and Arts Hub Manager, Bairnsdale.

WHALEBONE is a clever, witty , endearing work about the recollection and passing on of precious memories and stories to future generations. A great, fun show for young people to consider the ethics and boundaries around co- existence with artificial intelligence. Jody Mundee, Fuse Festival Darebin.
