Romsey, Muir Court and Sullivan Court - Drainage Works

As part of Council’s Capital Works Program, drainage improvement works are planned for Muir Court and Sullivan Court in Romsey. These works aim to address stormwater drainage issues at both ends of the courts and upgrade the existing footpath to align with the new drainage conditions.

Key improvements include lowering the pit on the eastern side of Muir Court to enhance water collection while installing a new kerb outlet on Sullivan Court. Additional works involve upgrading swale drains, installing new box culverts, adjusting overland flow paths, and redirecting runoff away from private properties toward the existing pit within Romsey Five Mile Creek Reserve. The works will also involve realignment of the existing unsealed path connection to Romsey Five Mile Creek.

The works will be carried out in two stages. Stage 1 involves completing the works within the two-court bowls before end of December 2025. The remaining drainage improvements and associated works are scheduled for completion early next year 2026.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
