Kyneton Botanic Gardens, corner Mollison & Clowes st - footpath works

A recent footpath condition survey found that the concrete paths on Clowes Street and Mollison Street—at the entrance to the Kyneton Botanic Gardens—were in very poor condition.

To improve safety and access, the following works were recently completed:

• A relocated entrance sign, set further back from the road to improve visibility and safety
• A new concrete footpath in front of the gardens, and on Clowes and Mollison Streets, with improved grading to create a safer and more accessible entrance
• Drainage upgrades to better manage stormwater, directing runoff into the existing bluestone channel on Mollison Street.

These works were delivered as part of Council’s Footpath and Kerb and Channel Renewal Program.

Construction began on 6 October 2025 and was completed on 10 November 2025.
