Romsey Road in Darraweit Guim has been upgraded as part of Council’s 2025–26 Short Section Rehabilitation Program.
The works included a 610-metre section of Romsey Road, starting about 70 metres east of the Fairfield Lane intersection and continuing east.
The upgrades improve road safety, drainage and the long-term condition of the road.

The project started on 4 May 2026. Works at the intersection of Fairfield Lane and Romsey Road, Darraweit Guim were completed on 7 May 2026. Drainage works are expected to be completed by soon, weather permitting.

Our intersection upgrade program focuses on safety improvements, while also reducing ongoing maintenance due to wear and tear from vehicles at various intersections and court bowls.
Locations are prioritised based on routine inspections and condition assessments.
