Macedon Tennis Club is a community club situated at the Tony Clarke Reserve in Macedon. The club participates in a number of junior, senior and women’s competitions throughout the year, and offers courts for community hire. The club have four en-tout-cas courts, two Plexipave courts and two Synpave courts.

Erected in the 1970s, the fences surrounding courts 1-6 were showing significant wear and tear and needed to be replaced to ensure the safety of users. Work to remove existing fences began in January and are expected to be complete in early 2024. During this time courts 1-6 will be unavailable for use. Courts 7 and 8 will still be available for hire.

The completion of these fences will complement the existing modern fences of courts 7 and 8.

A number of significant contributions have made this project possible:

  • $7,500 from GREAT (GREAT produces the Gisborne Gazette and runs the monthly market in Gisborne)
  • $15,000 from Tennis Australia
  • $20,00 from Bendigo Community Bank Gisborne & District
  • $23,700 from Macedon Tennis Club
  • $80,000 from Macedon Ranges Shire Council
