The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire started at 1am on Monday 17 November until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

At the Council Meeting on Wednesday 27 August, Council adopted the Reconciliation Plan 2025-2029. The Reconciliation Plan 2025-2029 reflects the strategic priorities and commitments developed through extensive internal collaboration and stakeholder input.
Implementation of Year 1 deliverables commenced December 2025, and will continue until the end of 2029, supporting Council’s commitment to reconciliation and meaningful action across the organisation and community.
