The Lions Gisborne Festival is a fun annual free event in December attracting families with free children's activities - face painting, jumping castle, hair braiding, henna tattoos, miniature steam trains, monster trucks and performers.
It begins with the big street parade of floats, school groups, kindergartens, community groups, music bands, Chinese dragon and emergency services. On Gardiner Reserve the Festival brings everyone together to enjoy the children's activities, market and food stalls, both on stage and on ground entertainers and the highly anticipated carnival rides.
The night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.

Location
From the Calder Highway, take Exit C791 off the Calder Highway towards Gisborne and follow the road to the first roundabout. Coming from Bendigo, it will be on your left. Coming from Melbourne turn left at the first roundabout and the oval is on the right.
