The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire started at 1am on Monday 17 November until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

The Bullengarook Community Hall is a well-used facility by local groups and events.
It experiences occasional water shortages due to limited rainwater storage capacity. To address this, the Hall Committee has proposed the installation of an additional 10,000–15,000 litre water tank.
Council has allocated $10,000 to support the associated plumbing and infrastructure works required for installation. The project will improve water resilience, reduce service interruptions, and make better use of roof runoff.
