Development Plan (DPO24)

A development plan is a planning document that sets out the vision and land use strategy for how land is to be developed while responding to the attributes, character and context of the site and its relationship with surrounding land and other proposed developments.

Lancefield has a number of parcels of undeveloped land that are already zoned for General and Low Density Residential development. In 2020 the Development Plan Overlay Schedule 24 (DPO24) was introduced to these areas through Planning Scheme Amendment C117. This overlay requires a development plan to be prepared so that subdivision, provision of services, open space and road connections for an area is considered holistically over multiple sites.
