Planning reforms

What we're seeking: Council is seeking appropriate consideration of the impacts of Victorian Government planning reforms on the Macedon Ranges. This includes the Planning Amendment (Better Decisions Made Faster) Bill 2025 and implementation of the Macedon Ranges Statement of Planning Policy.

  • 30 August 2026 - Response from the Minister for Planning(PDF, 93KB) in relation to correspondence sent by Council on 12 May 2026. 
  • 12 May 2026 - Letter from Council(PDF, 194KB) to the Minister for Planning following a Council resolution requesting that the Minister provide and publicly release details of how the application was assessed as complying with clause 52.30-5 (Consultation requirements), and how they assessed the application as being consistent with the Macedon Ranges Statement of Planning Policy.
