A streamside reserve dedicated to native plants.
Formerly called Stone Reserve, basalt was extracted here to build bridges.
For decades it was burnt off, leaving a blackened landscape visible from the road.
The reserve was developed into a park with native plant species, through the hard work of volunteers.
It is now a flourishing area and popular picnic spot, and is managed by Parks Victoria.
