Stanley Park

Stanley Park is located on Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Country and contains a named waterway, Gurrborra Creek, which is the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung name for Koala.

A large, diverse reserve in a natural bush setting and one of the most popular destinations in the region for locals and visitors alike.

A waterfall and walking trails offer plenty to explore. Play equipment caters for younger children and lots of open space provides good opportunity for nature play and passive recreation.

Many sensitive flora and fauna areas are located within the reserve. Please keep to trails and avoid exploring stream banks and the waterfall area.

As rocks often become dislodged at the waterfall, please keep clear of the area and enjoy from a distance.

An environmental management plan(PDF, 5MB)  is available for this reserve.

Park management

The park is managed by Council and a Community Asset Committee. Council is responsible for maintenance of most of the physical assets on site, while responsibilities of the committee include the maintenance of the garden beds and bushland areas of the park, and the removal of litter.
